Autumn bedding

I'm not one for bedding plants but, autumn and winter can be gloomy and a pop of colour can certainly help brighten things up!

And these violas that my mother-in-law bought me are a cheery sight.

I planted up my +Laura Ashley window boxes that Ive had a couple of years now, they are wearing beautifully, and I had enough to do a few pots too.

I just used multi purpose compost with a layer of grit on top to protect the plants from soil splashing back onto them and stop the soil from cracking.

Tomorrow I'll be tidying up the garden and planting spring bulbs.
