Foraging for foliage

 

Hello everyone,

I always used to look out across the fields in December and feel that things were bare.

But when you look closely there are amazing things to be found!

Wonderful textures and earthy tones.

I collected a very pretty hoard for Christmas.

This consists of catkins as my main foliage, so delicate and interesting, ivy, twigs covered in lichen, just one sprig of holly (I never like to take too much) and some other berries.

I also made a birds nest wreath out of dried seed heads.

 

It really is amazing what you can find if you look hard enough.
